| Sample Sailing Day Programme |
|
| 09.00 | Arrive at Ocean Village, welcome on board by your skipper, with breakfast and refreshments served once everyone has settled in. A safety briefing will follow along with an outline of the general programme for the day. |
| 09.30 | We will set sail down Southampton Water and provide sail tuition, which will include helming, raising and trimming of sails and navigation, during our trip over to the Isle of Wight. We allow for the reallocation of roles, giving everyone on board time to find their feet in the role in which they feel most comfortable. |
| 11.00 | Morning coffees and biscuits served. |
| 12.30 – 13.30 | We can provide lunch on board, either anchored up in Osborne Bay or moored up in Cowes Yacht Haven. Alternatively, we are more than happy to book a restaurant or pub for you - there are several to choose from in Cowes and they are all a short walk from the yachts. |
| 14.00 | Depart for an afternoons sailing in the Solent. If you have two or more matched yachts, we will organise an informal race around the marks back to Ocean Village so the crew can maximise their newly found sailing skills! The course will be set on the day to take into consideration the weather and wind strengths. As an alternative, we can also set a treasure hunt which will entail deciphering clues to work out a course back to Ocean Village with additional questions on landmarks, charts etc included. |
| 16.00 | Afternoon tea and cakes are served. Timings will vary if we are racing! |
| 17.00 | Berth at Ocean Village for post-sail drinks and prize-giving where appropriate, to complete the day's events. |
